Upper Eskedale, The Lake District

Over the last few days I spent some time hiking in The Lake District National Park in north west England. It had been a long time since I had visited this area and had forgotten how fantastic the scenery can be, particularly in the excellent weather that I had for the two days of my visit; a lot of walking got me into some lonely and amazing areas.I took a walk along one of my favourite areas, Upper Eskedale, beginning at the foot of Hardknott Pass and walking to the foot of some of the biggest mountains in the national park in an area known as Great Moss. The scenery is great and the scale of the place makes one feel very small. I was up there quite late in the afternoon which meant that I had the place to myself and the perfect light made taking a great photo very easy.
