Juvenile Common Whitethroat

Today at Oare Marshes, in Kent, there were a lot of wading birds to be seen but it was really tough to see any small passerines due to windy weather. One species I did get close to was Common Whitethroat with a small family group noisily foraging in a bramble patch.

This juvenile sat up for some time although it was tricky to get a nice photo due to harsh light conditions; I had to shut down the aperture and use a very fast shutter speed. This shot is one of the better ones I obtained.
